Now for those of you who may be unfamiliar with the fine arts audition process, many students apply to audition for multiple conservatory programs at once because the top programs are very competitive, so it's best to give yourself options.

In terms of the actual auditions, the top programs hold unified auditions where multiple programs host their auditions at the same time in the same location to streamline the process for students.

So as I sat in the audition waiting room after completing my audition, I started observing my surroundings. I felt this wave of calmness just wash over me. I had the realization that I was so proud of myself for even going through with the audition, regardless of the outcome, I was walking away with such a huge testimony:

I gave it all to God in that moment and asked Him to show me where I'm meant to go and what I'm meant to do. "If it's meant for me to go to Yale, I'll go. If it's not, I won't get in. Regardless of what happens, I will walk away with the clarity in knowing what's meant for me."

As I continued focusing on my breathing, we continued sitting in the waiting room to see our admission decision. (Yes, we also find out that same day whether we've been accepted or not - intense!) Suddenly, the head LAMDA'S drama school walks in to the audition waiting room and makes an accouncement

The seed was planted.

I was not ready to audition in that moment, but needless to say, one year later, I decided to take him up on that offer, and just look at what God did! With relentless faith and determination, I saw it through. Can you believe I’m just getting started? I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me! But for now, I’m off
